Hello again!

Well, hello again!
Ugh, I feel like I've gone nonstop for the last couple weeks. The big man has been studying for finals (and doing quite well I might add) and I've been running everywhere, or at least it seems like it.
I'm working on crossing a couple things off my not-bucket-list. I've been watching some movies (just finished Raising Arizona- kind of weird), reading, figuring out what DIY projects I want to do, making new recipes AND I just bought myself some concert tickets!!
I am super excited about that. I said I wanted to hold out until Carrie Underwood went on tour, but I can't wait any longer. I had an opportunity to see Miranda Lamber in my hometown when I was there, and didn't do it. So, I just bought some tickets for my friend and I to go when she comes here next month. I can't wait! I haven't been to a concert since... Carrie Underwood! Ironically, I fell upon some tickets (more like starting dating a guy that had bought them for him and his ex, so I replaced her!) when she was on tour with Keith Urban. It was fun, but that was before I was in love with her, as is the case now. Anyway, I couldn't wait any longer and didn't want to miss this concert too, so, May 11th, I'm there! Can't wait to cross it off my list.
I also made my third recipe for this month and it was approved more than the last one. I couldn't believe it. Here's the recipe. It was pretty easy to make and I think will be easier and faster the more I do it.
So, here I go again with more craziness. Hopefully, it won't take me so longer to get back on here...

Happy Easter!

I hope everyone had a great Easter! Mine was very relaxing, chill, kind of long (in a good way), a just good at the end of the day. The best part was when I was succeeded with making food that Rob likes. He wasn't a huge fan of the main dish, but I made these breadsticks, and he loved them! Super excited! So, technically, I've already made my 3 new foods each month off my "24 things" list, but I'm not stopping here.
These are the breadsticks I made. They're really pretty easy, just take a little bit of time.
Olive Garden Breadsticks, but they definitely didn't look like this!

I've also got these working right now. Funny story, I found this recipe on Pinterest. After drooling over them for a couple weeks, I decided to look at this blog to "meet" the master behind these yummy looking treats. Turns out it's the daughter of my mom's good friend. And I didn't even steal the pin from her!
Energy bites- can't wait to try them!

I'm super excited for this week too. I won this whole Mary Kay bridal package, so, on Wednesday I am going to get a facial and some other stuff. Not too sure what else, but I've never had a facial, so that's what I'm looking forward to. This whole engaged thing is pretty cool!

Point for me!

I have finally done it! I found a recipe my fiance likes. I'm so excited, I never thought this day would come!
To explain, my fiance, Rob, is "not" a picky eater. He will eat "anything" you serve him. That is, unless I'm the one cooking. For the last  year or so, I have done everything I can think of to make him new recipes. When I try something new, it is too boring, doesn't have enough sauce, has too much pasta, isn't cooked comepletely, is undercooked, etc. You name it, he's complained about it. As much as I want to give up, I realize that we've still got 80 years to live together, I might as well get over it and find something that's 1. healthy and 2. "Rob approved".
So, I was on Pinterest and found this recipe. I'd been wanting to make it, but finally got around to it tonight. I changed it a little bit to better suite the ingredients I was missing, served it with some Italian/garlic mashed potatoes and some green beans and he approved!

Anyway, they were a success and I can't wait to make them again. Super easy and good! You should check out the Skinny Taste Blog blog. Lots of good, healthy, easy foods. Hopefully, I can find another successful meal.

Lazy Sundays

I love lazy Sundays. They have officially become the day I look forward to. Today, I saw The Hunger Games again (since my last experience was so horrible I had to see it twice) and left my man at home. He had to study anyway, so it was my excuse to get out of the house. Now, I am hanging out on my balcony about to make myself a screwdriver and read my book for the month. Ahhh. Love it.
As much as I look forward to having kids, I know days like this won't happen.

The Cupcake Queen

I have got a small obsession. Although it used to be good for me, it isn't anymore sense I have been trying to lose weight. Plus, I chose the one, and probably only, fiance who doesn't like dessert!
I love cupcakes. I love to eat cupcakes, I love to bake cupcakes. I love cupcakes! So, I make them and feed the girls at work. The only problem is, other than the people that lease offices in our building, I only work with 3 other people, so we always get "stuck" eating a dozen! Anyway, I'm going to give you a little glimpse inside my love for mini cakes.
These were just for "looks"! I made them for Valentine's Day. Vanilla cupcakes with shortbread on top.

These were the first ones I ever "decorated". They were gingerbread cupcakes with a cream cheese frosting.

These were my "booby" cupcakes for the Race for the Cure. They were called Jelly Donut cupcakes- vanilla with strawberry jam and regular homemade frosting with a little extra jam.

These weren't too creatively decorated, but they were good. Chocolate brownie cupcakes with a little chocolate frosting.

These were for National Cupcake Day (of course!). They were called Toffee Cream cupcakes, but you couldn't really taste the toffee.

Halloween! These are my 2nd favorite cupcakes. They were chocolate cupcakes with white chocolate pudding filling, chocolate frosting covered with Oreos and topped with whipped cream and nerds.

This recipe has been named my absolute favorite! Chocolate Cream Cheese with chocolate frosting. Oohhh, so good!

These were for St. Patrick's Day, so I made my 2nd Annual Irish Car Bomb Cupcakes. Really good!

A little this, a little that

I had a revelation this weekend... Sundays were created to make Mondays even more miserable!
I went to Aerie, my absolute favorite store, this weekend and bought some Slim Gym Shorts. They are amazing! I really forgot I was wearing them because they are so light and comfortable. You should definitely to try them! Slim Gym Shorts
I also went ahead and started working on my "24 Things" list by buying a book- Before I Go To Sleep- and watched Se7en for the first time. Even though the latter is not in the list, I still wanted to see it. Anyway, I am excited to get started on the book and I will let you know how it is.
Thanks for reading.

Movies, movies, how I love movies

Alright, I saw The Hunger Games. Unfortunately, I don't think I can give  a good review, but my experience at the theatre was so bad! Long story short, I got us TERRIBLE seats and between not being able to see the whole scree, 13 year olds eating, talking, and moving right next to me, people with sticky shoes walking around the whole time, and some woman randomly puking everywhere 30 minutes into the movie, I was a little distracted. Since I simply could not focus on the movie, it was really hard for me to really enjoy it like I'd hoped. So, my plan is to go see it again. Just not too sure when that'll be. I did read all 3 books last month and was somewhat disappointed with some, what seemed to be major, parts that were left out. Anyway, I think I will enjoy it the second time around!
When it comes to my not-"bucket list",  I have come up with a list of "great" movies. I tried to look around at different sites to find one that wasn't biased, but after searching for a little bit, I gave up and just chose one. I actually decided to just take lists of the top 10 comedy, animated, horror, action and romantic movies, and make it into one big list. Originally, I was just going to take the top couple of each to make my list, but I'd already seen enough of them, that I decided to just use all of the lists. So, here is my grand ol' list of movies to watch by the time I turn 25. And yes, I am cheating and starting early! I've crossed out the movies I've already seen and as a watch them.
If there are any movies you think should be on here, let me know. I'm always up for suggestions of good movies.
Here's where I found the  Top 25 Animated Movies.
